The Long Return · Report Appendices

Field Sheets

Six context-bound sheets kept with the reporting work and community practice that produced them.
Independent civic work. These sheets do not speak for any tribe, government, department, elder, family, or institution. Recheck time-sensitive law and local conditions before relying on an older copy.

Disposition: these files are report appendices, not a general Institute tool library. Their existing addresses and exact PDF editions remain at The Long Return with the work that gives them context.

Maintenance rule: a future generalized Institute tool would need a new object ID and version, formal adoption, testing, a named maintainer, a correction route, and a retirement rule. No such Institute editions exist in this release.

Public-use warning: do not place ceremonial knowledge, sacred-site locations, burial details, medical details, private family information, or other protected material on copies that may circulate.

Cultural Access & Ancestral Lands

Appendices to “The Law Says We Can Be There. Nothing Says How.”

These three sheets support the report's practical layer of access, notice, field conduct, and records. Open the source report and its appendix links.

Field Event Log

LR-CNT-0025report appendix

One event per sheet—who, what, when, and where. Record the event; protect the meaning.

Contact & Notice Log

LR-CNT-0026report appendix

Track notices, contacts, responses, and follow-up while keeping protected meaning out of the circulating record.

If the Ground Gives Someone Back

LR-CNT-0027discovery-protocol appendix

A printed six-step discovery protocol. It contains California statutory references and time windows that must be checked against current law and responsible authorities before reuse.

Rural Climate & Elder Safety

Appendix to “The Heat Is New. The Distance Isn't.”

This sheet stays with the rural climate briefing that explains its intended use and limits. Open the source report and appendix.

The Elder Check-In Web

LR-CNT-0028report appendix

A one-page check-in grid for heat, smoke, or deep cold. It supports local planning; it does not replace emergency services, medical judgment, or current local guidance.
