The Senate passed an amended H.R. 2400 on September 30. Because the Senate changed the House-passed bill, the amended version heads back to the House for final action. GovInfo’s current bill record still lists September 30 as the last action date. This is significant movement, but it is not yet an enacted law and does not itself complete a land transfer.

Four main-council seats show clear officeholder changes; six alternate-council seats show different printed names. Five main-council names match exactly and two further pairs need identity confirmation. The full comparison includes all eleven bands, officers, and Housing and Health Boards.

Some people move between roles. A missing name does not establish that someone left all service, and the 2026 cards say officials were seated August 28.

211 NorCal remains a 24/7 referral route for food, housing, utility assistance, transportation, health care, shelters, legal services, senior services, and other local needs. CalFresh remains the statewide food-benefit program; California also has updated 2026 work/community-engagement rules for some recipients, so use the current state page for case-specific information.

Senior Nutrition — Five-Day Meal Support

PRHS says the Senior Nutrition Program provides well-balanced meals to Pit River Tribal elders and other eligible Native elders in the service area five days per week, either at the Senior Nutrition building or by delivery. The program also provides information and referrals to help elders connect with other resources.

Pit River Housing — Down Payment Assistance

Pit River Tribal Housing Board currently describes a down-payment program of up to $20,000 toward down payment and closing costs for eligible owner-occupied homes within the 100-mile-square ancestral boundaries. The program requires a homebuyer education course and is described as once-in-a-lifetime assistance. Verify current funding and eligibility before relying on an award amount.

Patient Forms, Privacy, and Intake Help

PRHS keeps current patient-registration forms and patient-rights/privacy information online. New patients are asked to complete registration before the first visit and bring insurance information, picture identification, and Tribal verification when applicable. PRHS also says people without insurance or another coverage resource can ask the Intake Benefits Coordinator about coverage options and the sliding-fee scale. Do not send private patient information through ordinary email; use the clinic’s approved intake and records processes. This stays on the weekly board because access, privacy, and intake are recurring needs even when there is no new announcement.

D.I.Y. ART + Ecology — Native Curriculum Classroom Kits Funded

Coastal Commission
$49,988 Whale Tail grant
California Arts Council
$18,715 Arts and Youth award
Combined verified awards
$68,703

Two public state grant records support the supplied announcement that D.I.Y. ART / Ink People has more than $68,000 in funding connected to classroom kits that pair hands-on arts and coastal ecology with Native American Studies Model Curriculum materials. The Coastal Commission describes a Native Advisory Group, classroom kits, teacher training, a Native expert/culture-bearer database, and intercultural-teaching guidance for Humboldt and Del Norte counties. The Arts Council separately funds multimedia classroom lab kits tied to Native Californian-centered curriculum.

The supplied graphic says 48 classroom activity kits; that exact kit count was not located in the two state grant records checked, so the public board does not present 48 as independently verified.

School Boards — Use Posted Agendas, Not Expected Patterns

Shasta County’s October 14 meeting is verified. Week 41 removes unconfirmed expected dates for Modoc, Fall River, and Big Valley from the public calendar until their current schedules or agendas can be inspected. Education Watch keeps the live district routes together.

11/02Community / Zoom

November 2 — CA Pine-nuts Workshop Needs RSVP Route

A supplied flyer lists a free Zoom workshop from 6:45–8:00 PM and says RSVP is required, but it does not show how to RSVP. The date is saved as an open-confirmation item; do not rely on it for access until the organizer’s registration route is confirmed.

10/12–11/18Regional / Screenings

People of the West — Screening Series

The supplied San Bernardino Valley College flyer lists the next day screening on October 12, followed by October 19, 26, 28 and November 2, 9, and 16, plus two night screenings on November 4 and 18. The night-screening hours are not printed on the flyer, so those remain open-confirmation calendar entries.

November–DecemberPlanning

Later Dates Already on the Calendar

November includes the Burney Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, PRHS cooking classes, language sessions, ATALM, the pine-nuts workshop, resiliency gatherings, and Boys With Braids. December retains language, ATALM, cooking-class, and resiliency dates. Recheck organizers as those dates approach.

Sources and changes for this issue

Core sources checked October 7, 2026. The Week 41 sweep covers the Pit River Tribe and department pages, Pit River Health Service, Pit River Casino, named-band/community searches, regional Native relevance, National Weather Service, Caltrans, CAL FIRE, Lassen Volcanic National Park, stable assistance resources, the prior board/archive, supplied materials, and recurring search queries. Weather, roads, fire, jobs, services, and policy status were not carried forward without a new check.

Supplied materials reviewed: the new 17-page PDF was inspected page by page. Public-use extracts were made for the College of the Siskiyous Indigenous Day flyer, People of the West screenings, the CA Pine-nuts Zoom workshop, and the Four Corners agenda. Candidate campaign-response pages were not placed on the neutral weekly board; an unlabeled satellite map was also excluded because its source and purpose were not established.

Open confirmations kept visible: the public Four Corners event listing says 10:00 AM–3:00 PM while the supplied agenda is headed 10:00 AM–3:30 PM; the pine-nuts workshop flyer requires RSVP but does not show an RSVP route; People of the West marks November 4 and 18 as night screenings without printing the hours; the member-only/community Facebook group could not be inspected through public web access.

Calendar cleanup: passed October 2–6 action items were removed from the current action cards. Unverified “expected” school-board dates were removed from the public calendar; Shasta County’s posted October 14 meeting remains. New flyer-supported dates were added without inventing missing times.

Continuity gate: recurring service, jobs, education, family-safety, food, housing, transportation, and planning doors were compared with Week 40. A recurring item was removed only if it expired, was superseded, or could not be safely restated as current.

Moving information: weather, road conditions, fire status, service hours, eligibility, event access, registration, and legislative status can change after publication. Recheck the named source immediately before acting.
