Use the Tribe, Tribal Secretary, or Election Committee for certified results, appointments, recounts, or other official follow-up.
Do not rely on screenshots, rumors, or secondhand lists for official election outcomes. Participation continues by following the decisions and public notices that come after election day.
Tribal Members: Feedback Requested on Two Proposed Projects
Proposal 1
Enhance the 10-acre Pit River Greenhouse at XL Ranch with solar energy, HVAC climate controls, and water infrastructure to support year-round food production and native-plant work.
Proposal 2
A proposed $10 million Community Resilience Center intended for emergency shelter/resources and, outside emergencies, meetings, cultural activities, health, education, and other community uses.
Important limit
The Tribe states that both projects are proposals and are not yet funded or confirmed.
This is a direct opportunity to tell the Tribe what needs, priorities, safeguards, and future uses should shape the proposals before they are treated as settled projects.

Breezy westerly winds and low daytime humidity are expected to create elevated fire-weather conditions Friday and Saturday across the Burney Basin and northern Sierra foothills.
Exact-location outlook
Friday/Saturday forecasts also flag a high fire threat around Burney, Bieber, Alturas, and Medicine Lake because of gusty winds, low humidity, and dry vegetation.
Action
Avoid preventable sparks, secure tow chains, use extra care with equipment, and recheck official warnings before outdoor work or travel.

SR 299 — Collision Closure Snapshot + Construction

At 3:33 PM, Caltrans reported SR 299 closed 1.5 miles east of the Trinity/Shasta County line because of a traffic collision. This may clear quickly; recheck before travel.

One-way controlled traffic east of SR 89 continues 24/7 through August 31 with delays up to 15 minutes.
Other work
Additional one-way controls are listed near Ingot and Canby through August 21.

Pit River Land Transfer Act — Senate Committee Advancement
Status
The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs advanced the Pit River Land Transfer Act.
Current Senate description
The measure would transfer 557 acres of federal land to the Secretary of the Interior to be held in trust for the Pit River Tribe.
Limit
Committee advancement is important progress, but it is not final enactment.
Senator Padilla’s current release includes Chairman Yatch Bamford’s call for the Senate to pass the bill. Until further congressional action occurs, this board will continue to describe the measure as pending.
New Q3 Progress UpdateFood Sovereignty / Restoration
Humisoil Production Project
Status
The Tribe says the project is nearing completion and has produced its first batch of Humisoil using invasive juniper and other organic materials.
Next stage
After a six-month curing process, the Tribe says the material is intended to support more than 100,000 native plants for greenhouse and food-sovereignty projects.
This is reported progress toward land restoration, food sovereignty, and longer-term environmental and economic capacity.
