Pit River Housing — Down Payment Assistance

Pit River Tribal Housing Board currently describes a down-payment program of up to $20,000 toward down payment and closing costs for eligible owner-occupied homes within the 100-mile-square ancestral boundaries. The program requires a homebuyer education course and is described as once-in-a-lifetime assistance. Verify current funding and eligibility before relying on an award amount.

Patient Forms, Privacy, and Intake Help

PRHS keeps current patient-registration forms and patient-rights/privacy information online. New patients are asked to complete registration before the first visit and bring insurance information, picture identification, and Tribal verification when applicable. PRHS also says people without insurance or another coverage resource can ask the Intake Benefits Coordinator about coverage options and the sliding-fee scale. Do not send private patient information through ordinary email; use the clinic’s approved intake and records processes. This stays on the weekly board because access, privacy, and intake are recurring needs even when there is no new announcement.

Sources and changes for this issue

Core sources checked September 24, 2026. This issue uses live Pit River Tribe, Pit River Health Service, Caltrans, National Weather Service, GovInfo, NCIDC, and current event-source pages. Supplied flyers remain supporting evidence only where their dates are still future and the item remains useful.

v2 (September 30): added the School Board Meetings card to Jobs, Education, and Training and an at-a-glance shortcut, both pointing to the new Education Watch desk (four boards source-checked September 30). No other content changed.

What changed from Week 38: the September 25 PRHS closure is new; H.R. 2400 was reported in the Senate with an amendment on September 22; the September 22 language session and September 21 pantry date move out of urgency; SR 299 is currently reported open to normal traffic; fire-weather attention replaces last week’s thunderstorm emphasis.

Market/vendor protocol: market and vendor opportunities may remain visible beyond the normal weekly urgency window when early notice materially helps artists, makers, families, or vendors plan. They remain clearly marked as regional where appropriate.

Moving information: weather, roads, jobs, service hours, eligibility, event access, registration, and legislative status can change after publication. Recheck the named source before acting.
